He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.
I really love this scripture. When I think about it he really has given me a new song to sing…….As I look back and think of the song that I was singing for most of life it really was not a happy song. It was full of new verses but all of them seemed to end the same way. Don’t get me wrong I lived a pretty good life but it was still a song that was full of struggles, financial troubles, loneliness, longing for something to believe in, searching for who I was and what I was supposed to do, looking for something or someone to turn to.
I tried all the ways the world wants you to believe are the answers… money, job status, parties, alcohol.. etc and they all left me singing the blues.
Once I realized I was not as cool as I thought I was and that I could not figure this crazy life out on my own I called upon his name. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and despite all that I had done he came into my life. He met me right where I was and exactly how I was. I have been forgiven and have the promise of an eternal life with him. So because of that I sing a Song of Praise to the Lord God Almighty thanking him and praising him for all he has done for me. I sing a Song of Praise for the peace that I now know, I sing a Song of Praise for I am no longer lonely, I sing a Song of Praise that I know exactly who I am and what I am supposed to do, I sing a Song of Praise that I can do all things through Jesus who strengthens me, I sing a Song of Praise for the Victory I have over the enemy in the name of Jesus.
Is your life song a blues song? Do you have the Victory over the enemy? Scripture says ALL that call upon his name shall be set free. Not just some or only a certain few but ALL that call on his name. If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior then ask him into your life. Repeat this prayer
…….. Jesus…I know I’m a sinner….Please forgive me of my sins…. I believe you died for my sins and that you arose from the grave…. I believe you are alive and you know everything about me and you love me just the way I am…. So I ask you to come into my life…I give my life to you the best way that I know how….I accept you as my Lord and Savior….I thank you for choosing me. In the mighty name of Jesus….AMEN…..
